Rocky Mountains...

Hanging out in CO has been a blast and the trip is only half over. Boulder was great, super fun bars and the downtown has a great feel!

We're in Vail now and got some snow last night and it's really mellow. It reminds me of Squaw Valley, a little bit and we're just hanging out today and headed back to Denver tomorrow! More photos to come...

Boulder theater...
Yes, Boulder has a bike culture...

Lovely little espresso in Vail village...

That came out of this machine, so cool!

The slops were pretty full for having only one run open...

The necessary way to start an evening with my buddy Tim, two bottles of Jordan wine!

Sunset from my hotel room...

Early morning...

A little early morning stroll today before my flight to Denver and the Rocky Mountains. I need to make a concerted effort to hit the trails more when I'm back from CO.

Enjoy...

Floral archives...

I'm having to dig into my photo archives and grab some pics from last summer. My blogging has been suffering as I've been working, a lot!

Enjoy the floral dynamics of the French Alps....

Knee level....

Extended view knee level....

Very high level looking down the valley from the flower patch...

I've previously posted about my students working on a science project about leaves and such. We were out today again taking pictures and my kids have a great eye. Check it...

Hunny, you're not a runner.....

I'm currently hanging out with my mom while she's recovering from some surgery. Hobbling into the house, she seems more worried about me than her own recovery.

"Adam, what's wrong...why are you limping"

"That half-marathon I ran on Sunday beat me up for some reason and my left arch/achilles has
been sore"

"Oh, hunny, you're not a runner....you're a cyclist!"

I LOVE IT! My mom told me I was a cyclist, this path I have known, I've just been on a sabbatical for a couple years.

With that being said, I am a cyclist with an identity crisis.

Do I go back to the $10,000 bikes, 300+ miles a week, snobby group rides, little to no social life because I'm always training....

Or... a more casual cyclists who rides around town. Completing simple errands, riding to work, a random sweat.

I have strong feelings for both and need to find my path...

Casual Adam riding with my class...

Expensive, flashy, hard core Adam....
I can't loose either way, I'm riding a bike and that's all that counts.

Other exciting news is that my class will be involved in a Conference Video call with our World Bicycle Relief partners in Chicago and hopefully Zambia, Africa. More to come when details are ironed out!

Hablo Espanol!

We're in our second year of Spanish Classes at school and I decided my students needed Spanish names to help motivate their learning.

Here they are....

Adan
Melisa
Rayman
Sarita
Maribel
Jorge
Madina
Jose
Javier
Natalia
Madalynn
Teo
Zita
Peblo
Alfonso
Mariano
Rafa

They chose the names and have been writing them on all their assignments and it's driving my aid nuts. She doesn't know who anyone is, have to love 4th grade!

In need of a new ride....

It's time for a new ride and these are some options I'm considering.... Comments, opinions, recommendations are appreciated! Ride on....
